USA surgeons are certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or are ABS eligible in General Surgery, and have earned additional board certifications within their respective specialty fields.
As faculty members of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit, USA surgeons lead and direct a six year surgical residency program dedicated to training future surgeons.
Individually, USA surgeons are very active in their local/regional medical and surgical societies, serving in capacities directly responsible for improving the processes and procedures that shape today’s surgical care.
Through education, research and technology, USA surgeons insist on advancing their medical fields, while enhancing the practice’s capacity and capabilities to serve the Greater Chattanooga region.
