In a move to better serve its growing vascular patient
base, University Surgical Associates opened its Surgical
Specialties Building at 2108 E. Third Street in Chattanooga
in January of 2006, providing ample space for the group's
Vascular Center.
The state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located between
Memorial and Parkridge Hospitals, approximately one mile
east of the Erlanger Medical Center, and is occupied by
USA's Vascular Center.
Comprising of Vascular Diagnostic Services (VDS), the Vein
Center at USA and USA Special Procedures, the facility
offers nearly 23,000 square feet of patient and office space.



The SSB supports the Vein Center's vast range of non-invasive and invasive vascular procedures, while



also providing space to USA physicians for general surgery consultation and breast disease treatment and



Some non-invasive procedures performed at the laboratory include carotid ultrasound, venous



ultrasound, arterial studies, abdominal ultrasound, and pre-op vein mapping for placement of dialysis



fistulas or bypass vein grafts.



Invasive procedures include endovenous laser treatments (EVLT), sclerotherapy, fistulagrams,



diagnostic arteriograms and some angioplasty procedures. Equipment upgrades at the facility include
