USA was established in Chattanooga in 1976. What began as a partnership between two
surgeons has grown into one of the largest multi-specialty surgical groups in the Southeast
Through the leadership of our 30 surgeons and the helpful partnership of our dedicated

and an ongoing commitment to surgical education - all with the intent of improving the quality of

All surgeons in this practice serve as faculty members in the Department of Surgery for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit. Activities include teaching all aspects of surgery to medical students, surgical residents and practicing surgeons in focused areas of surgical care.
Numerous clinical and basic science research publications have emanated from this practice over the last 30 years, and numerous research projects are currently ongoing. Members of USA have received local, regional and national acclaim as surgical educators and researchers - an attestation to the professional standards and dedication of the members of this practice.
