University Surgical Associates (USA) trauma group is immediately available to attend to the traumatically injured patients of the Chattanooga region, providing surgical care for the broad spectrum of injuries seen from both blunt and penetrating trauma and is heavily involved in ongoing research in the form of clinical research studies.
USA surgeons staff both the adult Level 1 Trauma Center and the pediatric comprehensive care center at Erlanger Medical Center, providing support to Erlanger's Life Force team and the yearly inpatient surgical care of more than 3,000 of the regions most critically injured trauma patients.
The adult Level 1 Trauma Center is manned by USA ABS board certified surgeons in-house 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
