Radio Frequency Ablation
Radio frequency ablation (RFA) is performed much like endovenous laser therapy (EVLT). It's a safe, minimally invasive procedure and is performed in the office under local anesthesia. The procedure differs from EVLT only in the way the heat is delivered to the vein wall.
Using RFA, the energy to the vein wall is powered by radio frequency rather than laser energy. This procedure may be performed based on your surgeon's preference.
