Understanding the special needs of children who require surgical care is what defines University Surgical Assoicates (USA) pediatric surgeons.
Specially trained to provide surgical care from newborn through teenage years, USA's pediatric surgeons are involved from diagnosis and preoperative preparation to the operative and post-operative management of surgical problems.
USA's pediatric surgeons manage general surgery issues in children, from appendicitis to gallbladder disease, as well as the subspecialty cases such as congenital deformities, newborn surgery, urologic reconstructive surgery, chest wall reconstruction, childhood cancers, and minimally-invasive surgery.
USA pediatric surgeons also lead the trauma team at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital, a designated comprehensive regional pediatric center, which is the highest level of certification for pediatric care. |
