Our Research

University Surgical Associates (USA) surgeons, all of whom are faculty members of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTCOM), are committed to training tomorrow’s surgeons today. Clinical research is the cornerstone of that effort.

The ultimate goal is to advance medical and surgical knowledge through local, regional and national presentations and publications. To achieve this goal, UTCOM/USA surgical faculty are the primary investigators in clinical research studies in all areas of clinical services offered.

With the brightest minds involved and clinical research being the scientific vehicle for that success, UTCOM/USA surgical faculty have cultivated knowledge and implemented improvements in order to ensure that the most recent advances in surgical care are provided to our patients.
